Capacity Building for Agroecological SMEs and Territorial Markets On Agroecological Business
On December 17, 2025, SHIWAKUTA, in collaboration with AFSA, successfully organized a one-day capacity-building training for small and medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) for agroecology and territorial markets, on agroecological business.
The aim of the training was to provide a platform for SMEs to discuss existing opportunities and challenges, as well as to identify practical solutions to address the barriers they face in cross-border trade.
The training brought together small and medium entrepreneurs who are members of SHIWAKUTA from across Tanzania, along with key stakeholders, including representatives from the Tanzania Plant Health and Pesticides Authority (TPHPA), the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), and the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI).
SHIWAKUTA and its development partners have continued to undertake various efforts to strengthen the capacity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for producing their products by using agroecological practices, aimed at building their skills to access Local and regional markets.
